Our vehicles are filled with filters, and each of them has their own purpose within the vehicle. Two filters that are often confused are the cabin air filter and the engine air filter. At Ditschman/Flemington Lincoln, we offer a full line of both engines, and cabin air filters and are available to answer any questions you may have and to advise you on filter replacement. Knowing the difference between these two filters can often help determine when they need to be replaced.

Your car has an intake system that brings air into the engine. It’s important that the air that gets to the engine remains as clean as possible so the engine can run as efficiently as possible. The engine air filter stops dirt and debris from getting to the engine. It’s equally important that the inside of your vehicle not be filled with dirt and dust. This is where the cabin air filter comes into play. Its located at the top of the heating system, which allows it to keep the air entering the vehicle as clean as possible.
